BG DPF & Emissions System Restoration harmlessly dissolves and eliminates hydrocarbon deposits, especially soot, from the air intake and emissions system. Used during the BG DPF & Emissions System Restoration Service, in conjunction with the BG 12Q VIA, this product brings back fuel economy, cuts down emissions and prolongs component life.

Disclaimer: The BG DPF & Emissions System Restoration Service can only be performed using the BG DPF & Emissions System Restoration Service Kit, (Part Number 2580, or BG DPF & Emissions System Restoration Service Kit, Part Number 2587).

Have you noticed reduced power, more black exhaust smoke or dip in fuel economy in your diesel vehicle? Or is your diesel experiencing more frequent and lengthy regeneration cycles? This could be due to a soot overloaded diesel particulate filter.

Diesel exhaust flows through a diesel particulate filter or DPF. This is where soot and larger particles are captured so that only filtered exhaust gases to pass through. When the DPF soot level reaches a certain point, the vehicle’s engine computer starts a regeneration (self-cleaning) cycle. During this regeneration cycle, exhaust temperatures must become scorching enough to burn built-up soot off the DPF.

However, in some driving conditions, such as excessive idle or frequent low-speed driving, the DPF won’t trigger the regeneration. Without the self-cleaning function, the DPF can quickly become too clogged with particles to function efficiently.

The BG DPF & Emissions System Restoration Service cleans and clears up the exhaust system by using specialized equipment to trigger and control the regeneration process. BG Diesel Performance Oil Change Service completes this service to diminish the chances for the DPF to overload with excess soot, enabling it to self-clean more effectively in the future. By using BG’s Diesel Emission products, you can keep your diesel running at it’s best.
